Last year, at the age of 82, he became a father for the sixth time.

He is credited with the authorship of the famous New York trilogy, comprising the three novels “City of Glass,” “Ghosts,” and “The Locked Room.” It was a friend of his partner, the American writer and essayist Siri Hustved, who revealed Paul Auster’s death, provoking the anger of his widow. She reacted a few hours later on Instagram, declaring that her dignity had been violated.
