Bun Hay Mean has left us: his difficult beginnings in Paris
Before joining the Jamel Comedy Club in Paris in 2014, Bun Hay Mean lived in the Bordeaux region and left everything behind to conquer the capital. His beginnings in the City of Lights weren’t easy, as he revealed in a 2017 interview with Le Parisien. The comedian admitted to having been homeless for several months: “I’d make 2,000 or 3,000 people laugh, and an hour later, I’d be sleeping alone at a tram stop. An emotional rollercoaster.” He reiterated these sentiments in 2023 during an appearance on Konbini: “Ten years ago, things weren’t going well at all. I was homeless and in distress.”
